Sep 05, 2013 · Coats’ disease is an idiopathic retinal vascular disorder characterized by telangiectasias and exudation. 1 The clinical features were first described in 1908 by George Coats, a Scottish ophthalmologist. He observed a variable spectrum of small aneurysms and dilated capillaries with sub- and intra-retinal fluid and exudate accumulation in young male patients.
